The
Wellsville Area Small
Plane
Society's
Tribute
for our our
deceased members
This page is dedicated to the memory of
our members of the W.A.S.P.S. who are no longer with us. Although they may no longer
be physically with us, their presence is still about us in everything we do. Each
member played an important role in molding the club to what it has become today, and for
that, they will live on eternally in our memories, and in our hearts.
God bless them all.

Retired Lt. Col. David W. Decker Member
198x - 1993
David Decker was the father of Vo Decker. We started
flying RC airplanes together 18 years ago as a father-son hobby (one of the
few around at that time), and attended numerous pattern and fun-fly
competitions that I competed in at the time. My dad and I joined the
club in about 2 years after it was formed. He passed away in December
of 1993 of his second bout of cancer, and will truly be missed by all.
Not only was he a good member, but my reason for being the person I am
today. Love ya dad!

Member 1986 - 199x
"Franie" was a great person. We'll always remember him by his
characteristic blip stick flying technique that carried over from the days of pulse
radios. He was also a member of the Cloud Dancers of Kissemmee, FL. He will be
missed, and remembered always. |

Member 1986 - 199x
Milt was another great person.
He was famous in this area for his self designed giant scale Waco's. Milt
would help out when we needed his expertise, and always gave the club his all.
He will be missed and remembered by all for all of his contributions to the club.
Our Piper Cub weathervane was constructed by Milt many years ago, and is still in
use today. His workmanship was second to none, and his planes and designs proved
that point. |
