1999 Fun Fly Pictures
Our 1999 fun fly was a pretty good success. We invited 3
of our surrounding clubs, and was elated that so many of our friends came. Below are
some pictures of the event as well as a description of the pics to the best of my
memory...

Here's a picture of the pits at our 1999 fun fly. Most
of the models in the front of the picture are mine up to the Sukhoi. In order from
front to back... a Hobby Lobby RCM Funster, Goldberg Electra, Goldberg Extra 300, Goldberg
Sukhoi (all owned by Vo Decker), a Great Planes EZ Sport and a Goldberg Extra 300(owned by
Ross Lentz). The high wing plane after the Extra is a Goldberg Eagle trainer owned
by our Treasurer, Rick Barry. |
 |
Here's Ross Lentz on the left and Ken Dickerson on the right
working on the EZSport owned by Ross. This plane flies nicely, but is plagued by
engine problems. The engine is a K&B Sportster 45 I believe. |

Current Safety Officer Rick Fitch and several other guests
enjoy the shade on a hot sunny day. |

Tad Manske taxies his Great Planes Big
Stick ARF out to the flight line. |

Standing here is our club Secretary, Bob Sanders. He is
an amazing man... Sitting down is Mike Vossler, who is responsible for teaching many of us
how to fly RC, as well as me 18 years ago... He is our resident club expert in slope
soaring, and is part owner of a full scale glider @ Harris Hill. Still one of the
best around! |
